As you can probably tell we are all huge fans of books and reading in our house. My husband and I love to have physical copies of books though we do both love our Kindles too. Boo loves reading too and we already bought her a few personalised books and I think they are just the best gift idea.
So when Love2Read got in touch and asked if I would like to have a look at their site to choose a personalised book that Boo could give to her daddy for Father’s Day I took one look and fell in love with the idea. They are just great – there are so many different styles to choose from so there is something which could be given as a gift from children’s of all ages.
We are a little bit book mad in our house, (I have a books I need to read list longer than my arm and the more I read the more I seem to add.) And Boo is the same – she loves nothing more than to sit and read a book, either by herself or with me or my husband. I love that she loves books and I hope that she always has a passion for reading. So when I heard about Bookawoo I was very intrigued – a box of age appropriate books right to your door – sounds perfect right?
The box is amazing, right away Boo knew it was for her (as you can tell by the hand!) – I loved the quotes on the box and the fact that it had her name, well nickname, on the box too was just lovely. It really adds that nice little touch. Inside this wonderful box were five books, a bright and colourful pencil, a bookmark with Boo’s name on and some lovely stickers again with Boo’s name on them. There was also a letter to the child’s parent/guardian with more information and a little leaflet about the theme of the box too.
Boo is obsessed with letters at the minute, her favourite thing to do is her wooden letters jigsaw and her favourite book is the ABC Alphaprints. She loves looking at the animals and reading the letters. So I thought I would do an ABC Alphaprints book review to share on here. I really love this book, as it’s a great way to introduce letters and it’s such an interesting way to do it.
I love reading and I love reading with Boo, and Boo has developed a love of books so we are always looking for new books to read not only for bedtime but also during the day too. So when I was asked if I wanted to do a review of a new children’s book called The Perfect Cup of Tea I said yes!
I love books, and it’s great to share books with Boo, not only the ones I loved as a child but new ones as well. So when I was asked to do a review of a new book called Lolly in Sweetie Land – I thought it would be a great book to read with Boo.
Lolly in Sweetie Land is a book written by Susie Davids and illustrated by Dawn Larder – it’s aimed at ages 2-5 so Boo is at the younger end of the age range. So we have lots of time to enjoy it! Read More…
