It wouldn’t be fair to do a Christmas Gift Guide for “Her” (and by that I mean me) without doing a Gifts for Him (or things I am going to get for my husband). So here it is, some gift ideas, which I have wracked my brains for, I don’t know if it’s just me but I find my husband, and my brother and stepdad really difficult to buy for so hopefully this guide will be helpful for someone!
You really can’t go wrong with clothes, for my brother it’s crazy tshirts with slogans on them (think Sheldon Cooper tshirts) and for my husband it’s knitted jumpers and checked shirts. I love this navy lambswool jumper* from Dobell and it is perfect for my husband. He loves the colour, which is a rich deep navy -though unfortunately it’s showing up a little darker on my photos. You can see the link here for more photos.
Fandom Box Subscription
I love my Book Themed Subscription Box and I know my husband would love a subscription box probably along a gaming theme, like World of Warcraft. Or gaming in general. There are so many Subscription Boxes out there at the minute, there literally has to be something for everyone. Also I love that it spreads Christmas out for however long you get them the subscription for (which is a big plus for me). Cratejoy is a great place to start looking and get ideas.
I love getting slippers for Christmas and my husband does too. The cold winter weather and the hygge of Christmas (especially in our half Danish household) so new slippers are nice, along with a new dressing gown too. I love the Classic Mule Slippers* from Superdry in brown these are going to be perfect for my husband. They are so comfy and I can tell they are going to be really warm.
To be fair, these are always a hit, (and as I get to watch them too it’s a double win!) The Big Bang Theory, Supernatural and Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2 are some of the things I have been looking at this year. I am a bargain hunter so I like to keep an eye on the sales and try to get a good deal.
Another great idea is getting their favourite photos printed off onto Canvas, either for at home, or at their office. There are customised Canvas Prints available from loads of places, this one is from CanvasChamps and I am really pleased with it. It’s one of my favourite photos and one of my husbands favourite photos of himself and our daughter. So I know he is going to love it.
My husband loves going to the cinema to watch movies, and I must admit that I love the experience too. Vouchers are great because it means my husband can pick which movie he really wants to go and see, and we can also pick a day when it suits us. (I have to go along too of course.) It’s even better if you get restaurant vouchers too and then it’s a proper date night (well date afternoon for us usually). Lots of fun!
Ok, so bear with me on this one, I don’t just mean your standard ballpoint pen here, but I mean a ‘proper’ pen, you know, what that writes incredible well and look amazing. I think the Cross X* fits the bill perfectly, I mean how gorgeous does it look in Crimson? I love that the refills are reasonable too. The Cross X itself is around £50 currently, but having tried it out I think it’s worth the money!
What gifts have you been buying this year?
