It’s been a bit of a strange week – I have been poorly and the time between Christmas and normality in January always seems a little strange to me. We did manage to get out to our local castle towards the end of last week – and I took a couple of photos, and I just love this one so much. I had to share it for the first Living Arrows of the year!
Boo was very impressed with the ruined towers in the castle, and she loved climbing the staircases as high as she could and then seeing what else she could see further up the tower, especially doors that came out in the middle of walls. And, of course, the clouds and sky where the ceiling should have been.
We love visiting our local castle, even though it’s in complete ruin. The view from the castle itself is wonderful and the area round the castle is great to explore. The fact that parking is free is a lovely added bonus! We are lucky to have a place like it so close to us.
