This week my word of the week – Mum, it couldn’t be anything else!
This week has been lovely Mother’s Day on Sunday and then my Mum’s birthday was on Wednesday. My mum was off work Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday so Boo and I have spent lots of time with her.
My Mum decided to celebrate her birthday on Sunday along with Mother’s Day so we spent the afternoon with her and my step-dad and my brother and his wife. We went to a lovely new Indian restaurant which was amazing £8.95 for a four course meal, portion sizes were just right and the food was amazing. Afterwards we went back to Mum’s and had a lovely time opening presents and cards, we all spoiled Mum rotten.
Monday we went to a lovely singing and dance session for Boo, which was great but the timing is a little bit off meaning that her morning nap gets pushed so far back she is a bit grumpy for the rest of the day.
Tuesday we went to a soft play place in the next town over, it was so much fun and we had the 0-2 room to ourselves which meant that Boo could go mad!! She had so much fun but clearly has no fear as she kept stepping off the edge of things.
Wednesday was Mum’s Birthday as my stepdad had planned a lovely shopping trip to B’ham only Mum was poorly so they didn’t do. Mum did pop in to see Boo and I so we could give her a birthday hug.
Yesterday we had a relaxing day and a quick trip to the park to make the most of the nice weather with my Mum, but Boo didn’t seem to happy in herself so we didn’t stay long. Today is going to be another relaxing day and we might go the park again with Boo’s little friend who is a couple of weeks younger than her and lives in the next street.
A lovely week and lots of time spent with the best Mum and Grandma! Why can’t more weeks be like this one?
