I was not sure that I would have much to write for my update this month, but it seems like, yet again January has surprised me. Although the month has seemed incredibly slow, it also feels like it’s whizzed by in some respects too.

Monthly Bucket List 2018 February - colourful pegs in a metal bucket on a wooden deck

The weather has improved over the month, though as I sit and write this it is snowing outside and it has gone dark even thought it is only 1pm. Our weekends at least have been a little better, weather wise meaning we have had chance to get out in the garden.

Well, here are the things I wanted to do this year.

Visit a Castle we have never been to before.

Go to the Beach at least Twice. Although we can’t tick this one off yet, I have booked our summer holiday, we are going to be heading off to Cornwall to stay at Coombe Mill in the summer and we are all very excited! And fingers crossed the weather will be kind to us so that we can take a few trips to the beach!

Have a family trip to the Cinema.

Go Horseriding.

Get Gardening. We have, I am pleased to say, been able to get out in the garden, we have finishing the Rabbit Run and dug out a huge plot that is going to be for vegetables, and we have been buying seeds ready for us to plant over the next few months. The garden is starting to get small splashes of colour which is wonderful and makes a nice change from the brown mud!

Plan an amazing 40th Birthday for my husband.

Go on an Easter Egg Hunt.

Go Trick or Treating.

More Family Photos.  I have been taking more photos, and I am pleased to say that there are more photos of my daughter and myself too. I can’t wait to get some lovely photos of the three of us over the course of the year too.

Stargazing. We have been looking up at the sky on clear nights and this month we have been paying particular attention to the moon, which last night was a super blue moon. My daughter has been so interested in the process of the moon appearing a little more each night, hopefully we will have a lot more clear nights so we can watch the process in reverse.

I feel like we have made great progress on my list this month and I can’t wait to tick some more things off the list too. The garden is going to look so wonderful in a couple of months and I just can’t wait for the weather to be warm enough so that we can spend more time out there!

What have you been up to this month?
