I cannot believe how fast this year is flying by, though I am happy to say that my March reading has been much better than January and February! I have read some great books this month, two of them being Fairyloot Books from previous boxes. The Hazel Wood and The Cruel Prince. I have reviews of both of these books coming up soon!

Fairyloot Unboxing - Memorable Moments - March 2018
But enough about that, it’s time for this month’s Fairyloot unboxing! This month was a special one as March is Fairyloot’s birthday. Happy 2nd Birthday Fairyloot! I was super excited for this box, not only because it was the birthday box and I knew they would do something special but also because the theme was Memorable Moments.

The March 2018 Fairyloot box was a little different, it is purple! I love the colour and it really makes this box stand out against the other months. I first subscribed to Fairyloot back in April 2017 so this was my first purple Fairyloot box! The artwork for this was amazing. Created, as usual by Tara I love both the artwork and the bookmark.

The first item I pulled out of the box was Bilbo’s Birthday Cake Vegan Soap by Geeky Clean. It’s strawberry and vanilla and it smells absolutely divine! I can’t wait to use it.

The next item was a candle! I love when their is a candle included in a box, mainly because I love candles and the scents are always incredible. This one was no exception. It was from Paper Flames Candle Co and it was called Goblet of Fire. It smells incredible (fresh bread and chocolate) and obviously marks a very memorable moment for all Harry Potter fans.

The next thing I found in the box was the Toast to the Warden of the North Hot Chocolate from Eponine. Another memorable moment from a fab fantasy series! I haven’t tried it yet, but I will share what I think when I do!

Next up was something a little bit different, some Cork Bunting from Paladone. This is amazing, I am going to use it to display some of my wonderful bookish things I have had both from Fairyloot boxes and that I have bought myself. I just need to decide where exactly to hang it!

My daughter, who is four, discovered, at this point, The Belles bookmark and pin badge. These were the bonus items, and she has claimed the pin badge for herself!

There were also a scarf in this box too. I very gorgeous scarf. A scarf inspired by the world of Shadowhunters, created by Fiction Tea Designs. The Rune Ceremony Scarf is gorgeous, and I cannot wait to wear it. But of course I had to take photos first… isn’t it gorgeous!

And lastly, on to the book! I had no clue about this month’s book – which was nice as it meant I got a lovely surprise when I opened the bag which contains the book. It was the State of Sorrow by Melinda Salisbury. The cover is incredible, and made even more so by the fact that the hardcover edition was printed exclusively for Fairyloot.

Fairyloot March Unboxing - State of Sorrow

State of Sorrow sounds like an incredible read, and it’s already sat on the very top of my TBR pile. I love the sound of the book from the synopsis and I can’t wait to share my full review with you all, once I have read it. There was a wonderful letter form the author and as usual a signed bookplate for the book. I also loved that there was a State of Sorrow postcard included too!

What an incredible box! I love that Fairyloot team also included a bit more information about themselves and about their journey so far. It sounds like they have some incredible things planned for the future and I cannot wait to find out about them.

Next month is all about Whimsical Journeys which I am really excited for. And I will be taking part on the Fairyloot Photo Challenge over on Instagram, so if you want to have a look at that you can find me on Instagram here.
