I am a little bit later with my Fairyloot unboxing than normal. This was because there was a little delay on one of the items in this month’s box. The box was totally worth the wait though. As usual Fairyloot have created a truly incredible box.
I also want to say that I had no idea what the book would be, it’s always so exciting when the book is a surprise. So if you are still waiting for your April Fairyloot box then look away now. First things first… can we just take a moment to admire the incredible theme art for this box. It’s so gorgeous!

The first item I pulled out of the box was the incredible Narnia Coffee Mug designed by Ink and Wonder. It is absolutely gorgeous, so colourful! I have been wondering whether to buy myself a reusable coffee mug lately as I knew one would come in handy, but I couldn’t settle on then design. This one is perfect!
Nxst out of the box was the gorgeous candle from Flick the Wick – Leif’s Ship. It smells divine! I am always so happy when I get a bookish candle, though I am yet to burn any of my collection. I really should start! The candle links to the book – though for me it still didn’t give the book away. It smells of spruce, fir and sandalwood.I love that the candle itself is black too.
Then I pulled out the amazing tote bag. It’s designed by Stella Bookish Art . I love the quote and the design is just amazing. I love totes, I have 5 or 6 now and I keep swapping them. It feels like I have a new bag every time I change.
Then we had the Magical Beast Luggage Tag. I adore this item – I love everything about it, the quote, the design. And what a unique item to come in a box too. It’s designed by Lovely Owl Books. I wonder if I will be brave enough to use it, I would worry it would get lost!
An then we discovered the Blackjack Enamel Pin, which I think I am going to have a really hard time keeping from my daughter. She has totally fallen in love with it, she loves the idea of flying horses almost as much as she loved unicorns. I must confess I haven’t read any of the Percy Jackson books but I really want to. It was designed by Taratjah.
The next item to come out of this incredible box was a notepad! I love notepads and I have a fair collection of them. This one is designed by Little Inkling Designs and I love the quote on it! The final item in the Whimsical Journeys box was a gorgeous art print from FictionTea Designs, some many incredible places shown on the signs of this print. I love it! The only issue is, where would you go first?
There were two bonus items in this box too – an Ace of Shade Button which I love and I can’t wait to read Ace of Shades! And a These Fates Divide bookmark.
And last, but by no means least, the book… I had no idea about this one and it was Beyond a Darkened Shore* by Jessica Leake. The book came with a wonderful letter author, with the most gorgeous artwork on the back, a signed bookplate and a sticker too.
I cannot wait to read this book and I love every single item in this box. Now I just have to get thinking about idea for my photos for the Fairyloot photo challenge, which you can see if you want over in Instagram later this month. The theme for the next month is Save the Kingdom, which sounds just as amazing as all of the other Fairyloot themes.
If you like the sound of this box, then I would totally recommend taking a look at the Fairyloot website, where you can find all of the information about their fantastic subscription boxes. I have had a subscription for over a year now (this is my 13th box) and I have loved every single box I have had!
