I love reading and I love reading with Boo, and Boo has developed a love of books so we are always looking for new books to read not only for bedtime but also during the day too. So when I was asked if I wanted to do a review of a new children’s book called The Perfect Cup of Tea I said yes!

The Perfect Cup of Tea - Children's Book Review and Giveaway

I love tea (I probably drink too much!), and Boo already likes to help me make a cup of tea, and likes to cheekily dip her biscuits in my tea when she thinks I am not looking! So I must say I really love the idea of this book. The Perfect Cup of Tea was released on the 25th of January 2016 and is available from both the publisher, Fisherton Press and from Amazon.

I was really impressed with the book, it was great to read and it keep Boo interested from start to finish.  The text is large and easy to read and the illustrations are great.  The Perfect Cup of Tea is about tea, who drinks tea and how to make the prefect cup of tea. But it is so much more than that.

I think it’s a great way to explore the idea of everyone being different and that we all have things in common.  What I mean is everyone drinks tea (ok maybe not everyone but you get my meaning) and the book goes on the highlight some of the people who drink tea – and that they all have that in common, no matter where they live or what they do as a job.

But it also highlights that difference is ok too, and the book shows that some people make their tea one way and others another. It’s a really great and relatable way for children to start to notice differences and similarities and to learn that they are all ok.

I would recommend this book as it’s one that I really wouldn’t mind reading to Boo again and again! I really love the illustrations and my favourite is this one in space, and it makes me smile every time I see it!

The Perfect Cup of Tea - Children's Book Review and Giveaway 3

It RRP is £6.99 which is about the same as other Children’s books, I think this one will last well, as it’s large clear font makes it a good book to read to Boo not only now that she can recognise some letters but in the future when she starts to read herself.

I really love this book and I would definitely recommend it! If you would like to win your very own copy of The Perfect Cup of Tea then enter via the Rafflecopter widget below. Ends midnight on Monday 15th February 2016.
